DH-98 Mosquito

The Mosquito Fighter (Mk. II), with a desert camo

The de Havilland DH-98 Mosquito is a British aircraft appearing only in the first game on Strikers 1945 II. It appears as a playable airplane and would later be demoted to support aircraft and unplayable for the Spitfire Mk. VI in Strikers 1945 Plus.

This fighter is all about burning things. Its sub shot is rapid-fire rocket missiles, its charge shot is a rolling napalm bomb, and its bomb involves mass carpet bombing. All this comes at the cost of being very slow.

Background[]

The British de Havilland DH-98 Mosquito was an all-purpose fighter craft, with duties raging from fighter-bomber to photo-reconnaissance.

Its frame and body are unique in that they are made entirely out of wood, which allowed it to carry out sneak attacks at any time of day without having to worry about radar.

In Strikers 1945 Plus, the Mosquito was replaced by the Spitfire from the first game.

Also, the Mosquito returned in the 2017 mobile game Strikers 1945 World War and is an R-grade aircraft in Strikers 1945 Collection.
